Information for 2007-2008 year.
Lessons focus on developing a healthy singing voice, vocal technique, tone production, resonance balancing and the study of age and level appropriate repertoire. Preparation for S&E, College Auditions, Recital & Public Performances is also addressed. In addition to English repertoire, work in the French, Italian, Spanish and German repertoire is addressed, if appropriate. Styles taught include Classical/Opera, gospel, musical theatre, contemporary pop and commercial music.
Many of my students consistently score top ratings at festivals and competitions. Some have continued their vocal careers at the university level and are teaching in the public school system and privately. I serve on the board of the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and am an adjudicator/clinician for both NATS and MSVMA.
Music degrees in voice performance are from Madonna University (BA) and the University of Michigan (MM) in Ann Arbor.
